Embrace

Currently, my life is full of a strange push-pull. I live in Fresno, the fifth largest city in California. I work in Tulare, in a little store about two miles out of town, surrounded by Walnut and Plum orchards. When I go home, to my apartment, I heard sirens and train whistles, people searching through the dumpsters in the alley and having fights in the street, the musicians that live two buildings over, and all of the strange and wonderful sounds that come with a city dwelling existence. The sounds in Tulare are so very different, it's like being on another planet. For instance, at this moment I am sitting in my store, the sounds here are birds in the trees, water bubbling in the creek outside the door and my family discussing whatever. I'm working on embracing the differences in my two lives and figuring out how to bring them together better.
